Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty is making a comeback in films after 14 years with the film Hungama 2. The film is scheduled to release on 23 July on Disney Plus Hotstar. Just a few days before the release of the comeback film, Shilpa’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra has been badly caught in the case of producing porn films, due to which he has also been arrested by the crime branch. Meanwhile, there were reports that Shilpa’s comeback film will now be postponed after being surrounded by controversies by Raj, although producer Ratan Jain has categorically denied it.
Recently, during a conversation with News18, producer of Hungama 2, Ratan Jain said, ‘What do all these things have to do with Hungama 2? A case has been registered against Shilpa’s husband and not Shilpa. She is an artist of the film and has completed all her work except promotions. Even the investigative agency has said that Shilpa Shetty has no role in this matter, so I don’t think it will affect our film. It is sad to see that people are dragging Shilpa’s name into all this when she has nothing to do with it’.
Producer Ratan Jain further says, ‘We have made a great film with a clear intention. People will watch this film not because of Shilpa Shetty’s baseless controversy but because of the content.
Hungama 2, releasing on 23 July on Disney+ Hotstar, is a sequel to the 2003 film Hungama starring Aftab Shivdasani, Akshaye Khanna and Rimi Sen in lead roles. Hungama 2, being directed by Priyadarshan, stars Shilpa Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Meezaan Jaffrey and Praneeta Subhash in lead roles. On the other hand, Ashutosh Rana, Rajpal Yadav and Johnny Lever will also be seen making the audience laugh in the film.
