Domestic IT company HCL Technologies on Monday announced its June quarter results. The company’s profit grew 9.9% to Rs 3,205 crore during April-June as against Rs 2,931 crore in the year-ago quarter. The company’s revenue also increased by 12.5% to Rs 20,068 crore from Rs 17,842 crore.
Gave more than 7500 jobs in the first quarter
In a statement issued, the company said that it has created 7,522 new jobs during April-June. After this, the total number of employees working in the company has increased to 1 lakh 76 thousand 499. The company has also announced a dividend of Rs 6 per share for the shareholders.
C Vijayakumar, CEO, HCL Technologies Ltd. said that the company’s revenue growth in constant currency has increased by 11.7% from a year ago. We expect good growth on a quarterly basis this year as well. We have created over 7500 new jobs in the June quarter.
Earnings up more than 15% in dollar terms
In dollar terms, the company’s revenue grew 15.5% year-on-year to $2,720 million. Net income also rose 12.8% to $436 million. Segment wise, IT & Business Services grew by 13%, Engineering & R&D Services by 10.7% and Products & Platforms business grew by 6%. ABIT margin for FY 2021-22 is expected to be in the range of 19-21%.
