Terrorist activities have increased again in Jammu and Kashmir in the last few days. Here 20 terrorists have been killed in 17 days.
Two terrorists were killed in an encounter by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian on Sunday night. These include Lashkar-e-Taiba’s top comm ander Ishfaq Dar alias Abu Akram. Dar was active in the Valley since 2017. He was earlier a police constable. He was facing several charges of murder. Both the terrorists killed were residents of Shopian.
IGP Vijay Kumar said that he had received information about the hiding of terrorists in Chak Sadiq Khan area of Shopian. When the security forces were preparing, the terrorists started firing. In retaliation, both the terrorists were killed.
On July 17, 2 terrorists were killed in the encounter in Danmar
Earlier on July 17, two terrorists were killed in an encounter by security forces in Danmar area of Srinagar. They were identified as Irfan and Bilal Ahmed. He was associated with Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. AK 47 rifles and 4 grenades were recovered from them. Kashmir IGP Vijay Kumar said that both the terrorists killed were local residents.
