In the academic year 2021-22, Delhi University will conduct the entrance exam for admission to a total of 13 courses. DU conducts examination every year for admission to only nine courses. But from this year four new courses will also be given admission through DU Entrance Test (DUET). These four courses include Bachelor in Physiotherapy, Bachelor in Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics and Master of Physiotherapy.
NTA will conduct examination for selected courses
Rajiv Gupta, president of the university’s admission cell, said that in the new national education policy, one university one examination has been mentioned. The university is trying to fulfill this objective of NEP. He further informed that DUET-2021 will be conducted for courses for all PG courses.
However, the entrance test for select UG programmes, M.Phil and PhD will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The dates for the exam will be announced soon. Along with this, the number of examination centers for the examination will also be increased this year.
Admission will be done on 90 thousand seats
Admission to UG courses for the academic year 2021-22 will be through cut-off based on merit as in previous years. The registration process for UG courses will start from August 2 and will continue till August 31. Like last year, this time also the admission process will be completely online. Around 70,000 Under Graduate (UG) seats and 20,000 Post Graduate (PG) seats will be admitted this year.
