Kareena Kapoor’s book has landed in controversy within 5 days of its launch. In Beed city of Maharashtra, Ashish Shinde, president of Alpha Omega Christian Federation, filed a police complaint accusing two people including Kareena of hurting religious sentiments. According to the report, the word ‘Bible’ in the title of the book has created discontent among the people.
Writers and publishers also surrounded
Ashish Shinde, president of Alpha Omega Christian Federation, lodged a complaint at Beed’s Shivaji Nagar police station. A complaint has been registered against Kareena under IPC section 295-A (deliberate and malicious act, with intent to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs). Apart from Kareena, the second author of this book is Aditi Shah Bhimjani and it is published by Juggernaut Books.
Case may also be registered in Mumbai
Shinde, who filed the complaint, said the word ‘Bible’ in the title of the book has hurt the religious sentiments of the Christian community. “We have received the complaint but no case can be registered here as the incident did not take place here (in Beed). I have advised him to file a complaint in Mumbai,” Inspector Sainath Thombre, in-charge of Shivaji Nagar police station said.
Kareena called the pregnancy bible the third child
Kareena wrote, “My pregnancy and writing my pregnancy bible, it’s been a journey. There were some good days and some bad days, some days I was in a hurry to go to work, but some days I could get out of bed. This book recounts my physical and emotional experiences during both my pregnancies. It is a very personal description. In many ways this book is like my third child… from conception to its birth today. “
