Ashadh Guru Purnima: Describing the glory of Guru in Hinduism, it has been said that the place of Guru is higher than that of Gobind i.e. God.   • The moon should be seen on the evening of Guru Purnima. After that, mixing Gangajal and Akshat in milk should be offered to the moon. It is believed that by doing this the moon defects are removed. It should also be kept in mind that after offering Arghya to the moon, one must chant the mantra of Chandradev ‘Om Somay Namah’.
