The Education Ministry may decide soon on the engineering and medical entrance exams postponed due to Corona. According to media reports, quoting sources, it was said that the ministry will take a decision after reviewing the status of conducting two editions of engineering entrance exam JEE Main and medical entrance exam NEET UG in August. The ministry will organize a meeting in this regard.
This information has come to the fore after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the cancellation of the 12th board examinations in view of the corona epidemic. In such a situation, it is expected that the schedule of these entrance examinations will be decided soon.
This time the examination is being held in four sessions.
This year JEE Main exam is being conducted in four sessions. Under this, the examinations of the first two sessions have already been completed in February and March. After this, the third phase examination was to be held in April and May. But, for the time being they have been postponed. According to the NTA, a total of 6,20,978 candidates appeared for the February session, while in March the number was 5,56,248.
JEE-Advanced also postponed
Last week, JEE-Advanced for admission to prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology and National Institutes of Technology in the country was also postponed due to the postponement of JEE Main exam. The exam was to be held on July 3.
NEET-UG application form will be released soon
In the current situation, amid the ongoing uncertainty regarding the medical entrance exam, the National Testing Agency recently informed on the official website that the application forms for NEET 2021 will be released soon. After the release of the form, students will be able to register for the exam. The agency also informed that like every time, this time also the medical entrance exam will be conducted only once in a year.
