Now any person will be able to update the vaccination status on the Arogya Setu app in their mobile. This will be a self assessment process. According to the government, this facility will make it easier to check the status of vaccination when traveling somewhere. The Ministry of IT and Electronics said on Tuesday that all Aarogya Setu users will get the option of Update the Vaccination Status.
The ministry said in a statement that this new facility has been started on the Arogya Setu app. Those who have received a single dose of the vaccine will see a single blue tick with the status of vaccination on the home screen of the app. 14 days after the second dose, those people will see a double-ticked blue shield on the app. This double tick will appear after validation of the status of vaccination from the Kovin portal.
Users will have to provide vaccination information
The vaccination status can be updated through the mobile number used for COVIN registration. Upon self-assessment on the Arogya Setu App, people who have taken at least one dose of the Corona vaccine will get a tab of Parsley Vaccination / Vaccinated (Unvarified) on the Arogya Setu home screen.
The statement said that this is based on the information about vaccination given by the user during self-assessment. Unverified status gets verified after OTP based investigation from Kovin. After 14 days of the second dose, You are vaccinated will be written on the home screen of Arogya Setu. This will make the examination of vaccination status easy for travel or access to any campus. In India, more than 190 million people are using the Arogya Setu app.
