Miloni has got Covaccine.

Miloni Doshi, a 25-year-old Indian student, is going to pursue a master’s degree from Columbia University in the US. She has got both the doses of Covaccine made in India and is ready to go to the campus. But a condition of American universities has increased their concern. In fact, more than 400 universities have allowed only students who have got the corona vaccine to enter the campus. But one of his conditions has become a problem for lakhs of foreign students including India.

The condition is that the vaccine must be approved by the World Health Organization. Simply, this condition has become a headache for students like Miloni because Covaccine is not approved by WHO. The same is the case with the students of China and Russia. In the US, the WHO has approved only vaccines from Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson.

On the other hand, Columbia University has told Miloni that upon reaching there, the vaccine will have to be re-vaccinated. This scared Miloni. She says, “I am afraid whether it is even appropriate to get vaccinated again…and how safe will it be?’

In fact, the universities made the policy keeping in mind the local students, but forgot the foreign students who paid the highest share in the earnings. Every year about two lakh students from India go to America to study. It is second only to China. According to a report, before the Corona epidemic, American universities had earned $ 3,900 million, or about Rs 2.88 lakh crore, as tuition expenses from foreign students.
