Twitter has said that we have just appointed Nodal Contact Person and Resident Gravance Officer on contract basis. Will make it permanent soon.
After WhatsApp, Facebook and Google, now Twitter has also said to follow the social media guidelines issued by the Centre. Twitter wrote to the government that it is in the stage of finalizing the appointment of Chief Compliance Officer i.e. Grievance Officer in India. In this regard, he will submit a report to the government within a week in the next few days.
News agency ANI quoted sources as saying that Twitter said that to fulfill the purpose of the guidelines issued by the Center, we have just appointed Nodal Contact Person and Resident Gravance Officer on contract. Soon we will make permanent appointment on these posts. Twitter is committed to India and the people we talk to. We will take all possible steps to follow the guidelines of the Centre.
Facebook appoints Spoorthi Priya as Gravance Officer
Following the new guidelines, Facebook has appointed a Grievance Officer in the country. FB has published the name of Gravance Officer Spurti Priya on its website. FB has said that users can contact Spurti via e-mail. Apart from this, users can also send their complaints through post in Facebook India.
Apart from Facebook, WhatsApp had published the name of Paresh B Lal as a grave officer on its website. Google also updated its website to reflect the decision to appoint a graves officer.
