Ahead of the Tokyo Olympics, Indian athletes, including Asian medalist Duttichand and junior world medalist Hima Das, will have their last chance to qualify for the Olympics.

AFI President Adile J Sumariwala said – Due to Corona, the championship will be organized at two grounds in Patiala. 24 events will be organized at Netaji Subhash National Sports Institute, while 19 events will be organized at Panjab University Ground. All players have to make their own accommodation arrangements.

Sumariwala said that athletes from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Chinese Taipei, and Kazakhstan have also been invited to the Inter State Senior Athletics Championships, so that the athletes can get a better competition. At the same time, athletes from these countries can also get a chance to qualify for the Olympics.
