The dates for the remaining 20 matches of the Pakistan Super League have been announced. The matches will be played in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from June 9. Earlier all these matches were to be held in Karachi, Pakistan, but due to the second wave of Corona, it was shifted to UAE.

6 double header matches will be played during the tournament. Whereas, the final will be played on June 24. The very next day, Pakistan’s team will leave for England tour. The PSL was suspended in March after 14 matches due to Corona.

Announcing this on Thursday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that on June 9, the team of Lahore Qalandar will take on Islamabad United in the 15th match of the tournament. The decision of 6 double headers has been taken keeping in view the England tour. We wanted the tournament to end as soon as possible. There will be 5 double headers in the league round. At the same time, the Qualifier-1 and Eliminator matches of the playoffs will also be played on the same day (June 21).


6 double header matches will be played during the tournament
Several players who arrived in the UAE on a chartered flight from Pakistan ended their 7-day isolation period on Wednesday. Many teams also trained on Wednesday. Players of all 6 teams will be able to practice from June 3 to 8. Whereas, the double header matches will be played on June 10, 13, 15, 17, 19 and 21.

PSL was stopped in March due to Corona

The sixth season of PSL started from 20 February. But it was stopped on 4 March after a support including 6 players got corona infected. Till then only 14 matches had been played out of the total 34 matches of the league.

Pakistan team will leave for England tour on June 25
The Pakistan team will leave for England on June 25. There, the team has to play a series of 3 ODIs and as many T20 matches from 8 July to 20 July. Players will also have to go through a 10-day quarantine. The ODI matches between Pakistan and England will be played on July 8, 10 and 13. At the same time, there will be 3 T20 matches on 16, 18 and 20 July.
