Maharishi Ved Vyas then advised Bhima to observe Nirjala Ekadashi fast. Vyas ji told the method of this fast to Bhima and said that during this fast food and water are completely abandoned. Along with this, fasting of Ekadashi should be done according to the rules on the date of Paran Dwadashi. By doing this one gets the fruits of all Ekadashi fasts. At the behest of Vyas ji, Bhima completed the fast of Nirjala Ekadashi beforehand and became free from all kinds of sins.
