Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to have an important meeting in a while regarding the 12th board examinations. According to the sources, in this meeting, all options of conducting the examination will be put before the Prime Minister. These options have been prepared after a long discussion with the state governments and the CBSE board. It is believed that a big decision can be taken today regarding the board exam itself.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has demanded the cancellation of Class 12 exams. He has said that students should be assessed on the basis of past performance. Kejriwal said that parents are upset. They do not want the exam to be conducted without vaccination.

Center seeks 2 days time from Supreme Court for verdict
There was also a hearing in the Supreme Court on Monday on the CBSE and ICSE Board exams. In this, the Center had said that it would present its plan in the Supreme Court on Thursday. On this, the Supreme Court had said that whatever decision you take, you will have to give a strong argument behind it. Justice Khanwilkar said that the students had high hopes that this year also the examination will not be like last year and method system will be adopted for numbering.

3 options of Ministry of Education are ready, PM will also see these
Sources told Bhaskar that the Ministry of Education has prepared a draft for conducting the examinations. The wait is just to get the green signal from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). The meeting is to be held today and that is why it is being said that the decision can also be taken today. The Ministry of Education has 3 proposals. The Prime Minister will see them. Apart from this, some other method can also be considered.

  • First proposal: The main subjects of 12th i.e. Major Subjects exam can be taken. After taking exams for only 3 main subjects of Science, Commerce and Arts, marking formula can also be formed based on the numbers found on the main subjects in the remaining subjects.
  • Second proposal: There will be 30-minute examinations and objective questions will be asked. The number of subjects will also be limited in this exam, but nothing has been said clearly about it.
  • Third proposal: If the situation of corona infection in the country does not improve, then internal assessment of all three will be done in 9th, 10th and 11th. After this, the 12th result will be released on the basis of this, but, the formula has not been clarified regarding this proposal as well.

12 states want 3-4 subjects to be tested, time also reduced
The states had sent their suggestions to the central government regarding the 12th examination across the country. Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Kerala, Meghalaya, Arunachal, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan have also suggested pre-exam vaccines. Maharashtra has also talked about online examination. UP, Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, Assam, Himachal, Chandigarh, Sikkim, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar and Odisha want only the core subjects to be tested and the exam time is reduced. Exams should be held in the children’s own school.

Students wrote a letter to the Chief Justice
About 3 thousand students wrote a letter to Chief Justice NV Ramana about the examinations about a week ago. It was said, ‘CBSE’s decision to conduct physical exam amid Corona should be canceled. Direct the Supreme Court to decide the alternative method of assessment. Due to Kovid-19 in the country, many students have lost their family members. In such a situation, conducting physical examination at this time is not only a threat to the safety of millions of students and teachers, but also to their families.
