India has got a big success in higher education on Wednesday. The country’s 3 biggest universities IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi have been ranked in the top-200 of the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2022. IISc Bangalore has been ranked number-1 in terms of research. This information was given by the Ministry of Education on Wednesday.

IIT Guwahati has been ranked 41st in the category of Research. Overall, on this success, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated him through social media. He said that work is being done in most of the universities and institutes of the country for global excellence and to increase the intellectual capacity of the youth.

IIT Bombay got 177th position in the list
London-based Quacquarelli Symonds releases the ranking of the best universities in the world every year. This time IIT Bombay has been ranked 177th and IIT Delhi 185th in the overall top-200 universities. IISc Bangalore University, which topped the research category, stood at number 186 in the overall list. In India, IIT Bombay is at the top for the fourth consecutive year. Delhi is second and Bangalore University is at number three.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) of America tops the overall list. Britain’s Oxford University is second and America’s Stanford University is at number three.

JNU in top 600 for the first time
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has also achieved a major achievement. For the first time, it has been ranked in the top 600 of the QS World University Rankings. Delhi University is also included in this category. Apart from these, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee have made it to the top 500.

On this, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar also congratulated through social media. He praised IISc Bangalore University. Javadekar wrote that the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore achieved a perfect 100 score on the CPF scale and topped as a research university. We are proud of this.
