Amidst the corona epidemic, the central government has given a relief to its employees. The Personnel Department has issued an order, according to which the central employee can take 15 days Special Casual Leave (SCL) if the parents or any dependent member in the family is corona positive or has to be admitted to the hospital.
According to the order, if the employee himself is infected with corona, then he will have to remain in quarantine or isolation. He may have to be admitted to the hospital. In such a situation, the central employee can take special leave up to 20 days. This order shall be deemed to be effective from 25 March 2020 till further orders.
Central employees will also be able to do work from home
The order of the ministry states that if the employee comes in direct contact with an infected person. In such a situation, he will have to stay in home quarantine for 7 days. In such a situation, for these 7 days, he will be considered on duty (work from home). If the employee is living in a containment area, then he will not be able to come to the office. In such a situation, he has to give information in the office. It will be considered as work from home till content time.
May get more leave if hospitalized
The ministry has said in the order that if a corona positive parent or family member is admitted to the hospital, then in such a situation the employee can take leave for more than 15 days. Leave can be given till the family member is discharged from the hospital. These orders were sent to all the ministries. According to this, if the employee himself is infected and he has to be admitted to the hospital, then he can be discharged for more than 20 days. For this commuted leave, the employee will have to show the hospital documents.
