On passing the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), the certificate will now be valid for life.
The center has given a big relief to the youth who want to become a teacher. Once the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is passed, the certificate will now be valid for life. Now this limit was 7 years. In the absence of a job during this period, he had to pass TET again. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said on Thursday that this decision will be applicable from 2011. The Center has asked the states/UTs to issue fresh certificates to candidates who have completed seven years. In October last year, the NCTE had recommended extending the validity of CTET to lifelong.
The state government has already refused the eligibility period for life.
TET (Tet) was started across the country in 2011. In the state, it happened in the name of Artet in 2011 and 2012. Then the validity period was 7 years. Then the state government changed its name in 2015. REET took place in 2015 and 2018. The validity period was increased to 3 years. Now REET 2021 is to be held. It is also eligible for 3 years. Candidates are demanding for lifetime validity of REET and RTET. But the state government has already refused.
