The foreign ministers of the BRICS countries had a virtual meeting on Tuesday. The agenda of the meeting was mainly the problems arising out of Kovid-19 and mutual cooperation during this time. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said during this meeting that his country stands with India in this difficult period. The meeting was chaired by the External Affairs Minister of India, S Jaishankar.
BRICS is a group of five countries. This includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. It is named after the names of the member countries. The first alphabet of each country’s name is taken.

At the end of the meeting, the foreign ministers of all the countries greeted each other with folded hands. India’s Foreign Minister Jaishankar said- We want that all countries should have equal rights and representation under international law. Respect for each other’s sovereignty should also be in accordance with the UN Charter. All countries should respect each other’s regional unity.
The issue of vaccine also raised
During this meeting, the Foreign Minister of South Africa also raised the case of the coronavirus vaccine. He said- In case of vaccine, there is a need for cooperation and agreement on technology transfer and production. We have to remember that until everyone is safe, we are also not safe. In terms of vaccine, the global gap is very high, we have to reduce it at this time.
China promises cooperation again
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said – India is going through a difficult period of epidemic. We promise cooperation to New Delhi in this difficult time. We also want to tell the rest of the BRICS countries that China is ready to cooperate on this matter. The second wave of Corona is going on in India, China is ready to help in this matter.
