The committee constituted by the Government of Rajasthan for the timely completion of various recruitments in the state including RAS and to strengthen the recruitment process has started. The committee is expected to submit its report to the state government in July.
The committee constituted under the chairmanship of former RPSC chairman ML Kumawat includes retired IAS Khemraj, IG Stamp Mahavir Prasad, RPSC secretary Shubham Chaudhary, advisor to Rajasthan Staff Selection Board and retired RAS Badri Narayan. Corona era is also becoming an obstacle in committee meetings. Committee members are holding meetings online.
The committee is also facing some problems in preparing the report due to lack of staff or half of the staff in the RPSC and other offices. The committee has held four meetings so far. The committee has started demanding necessary documents from Rajasthan Staff Selection Board as well as Rajasthan Public Service Commission.
Kumawat had done many innovations during his tenure.
According to the official sources of the commission, former Chairman Kumawat made many innovations in various recruitment examinations including RAS in the Commission during his tenure. Taking advantage of this experience of the government, it is doing this exercise for the unemployed to get employment soon. It is believed that Kumawat has been made the chairman of the committee only because he is well acquainted with the work of the Commission and the correct analysis of what may be the reasons for delay in conducting the examinations and pending the recruitment process. Will be able to take more measures.
Kumawat has written about the innovations made during his tenure in the Commission’s magazine Kasauti. He wrote that after the retirement of CR Chaudhary on 28 February 2010, during his presidential tenure, the scaling system of RAS, RTS preliminary examination was being challenged time and again. Due to this, the Commission failed to organize important examinations like RAS on time and the Commission in planning its examinations in a planned manner. Therefore, in order to eliminate the defects / disputes of the scaling system, the Rajasthan State and Subordinate Services exercise a change in syllabus similar to the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for Combined Competitive Examination.
With this, on 10 March 2011, the process of online application for the posts of Medical Officer (Dental, Homeopathy, Unani, Veterinary Officer) was started for the first time in the Commission. On June 26, 2011, Kumawat also conducted a scrutiny examination on-line for the posts of Assistant Acharya Ophthalmology and Assistant Acharya Nose, Ear, and throat of the Medical Education Department in the Commission.
Code numbers were allotted to the invited experts in the Commission for the purpose of keeping the confidentiality intact, FR number (Kalpinik Roll Number) was allotted to the candidates who were interviewed. In the RAS written examination answer sheets, the bar was introduced using Dead OMR. For the first time, the facility of downloading the admit card directly from the website on the Internet was made available in the Teacher Grade Second Examination in December 2010.
RAS examination was conducted in one year only
The record in the history of the Commission is also in the name of Kumawat that the RAS examination was completed in one year during his tenure. The process of RAS started in September 2010 and in the year 2011, the process of this recruitment examination was completed in August and the candidates had joined. The Commission completed this recruitment in less than UPSC.
