New Delhi : The central government has transferred West Bengal Chief Secretary Alphan Bandopadhyay with immediate effect. The central government has asked them to report to the Government of India DoPT by 10 am on May 31. Where their next posting will be, it is not decided at the moment. Read Rule 6 (1) of 1954
Deputation in Rule 6 (1) of the Indian Police Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954, states that a cadre officer, with the consent of the respective State Governments and the Central Government, under the Central Government or any other State Government or a company , Can be deputed for service under the association or body of individuals.
Whether incorporated or not, wholly or substantially owned or controlled by the Central Government or any other State Government. Provided that the matter of any disagreement shall be decided by the Central Government and the State Government shall give effect to the decision of the Central Government.
Why the Chief Secretary transferred
Alpen Bandopadhyay had arrived at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s review meeting about half an hour late and left after a brief stay, which is believed to be against the service rules. & Nbsp; Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a visit to Orissa on Friday to review the loss caused by Yas Cyclone. During this time, he made an aerial survey of many areas of Orissa and West Bengal.
