Under the vaccination drive in Gurugram, a young man gets the vaccine in his car.
The central government has started strict action on hospitals running vaccinations drives in luxury hotels. The government has warned such hospitals to take action. On Saturday, the Ministry of Health sent a letter to the officials of the states and union territories. It said that the authorities should keep an eye on the hotels and hospitals which are not following the guidelines of vaccination. The letter said that some private hospitals have tied up with big hotels. A package of vaccination is being given in it. This is a direct violation of the guideline.
What is the center’s guideline on vaccination
What kind of package are hotels offering?
Hotels are providing a lot of facilities to those who get the vaccine in their luxury package. Apart from this stay arrangement, healthy breakfast, dinner and Wi-Fi, a vaccination expert is also being provided from the hospitals. It is being fiercely opposed on social media.
Delhi Deputy CM had raised the issue
Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia raised the issue related to this on Saturday. He had said that the state governments are struggling with the huge shortage of vaccine. Because of this, vaccination of people between 18 and 44 years has stopped. Sisodia had asked the Center that when the Center does not have the vaccine to give to the states, where is the stock coming from private hospitals. Delhi government wants to do vaccination of all the youth of the state for free. If the state government is not getting the vaccine for this work, then it is surprising that the vaccine reaches private hospitals. He said that private hospitals are charging up to 1 thousand rupees for a dose.
