Minister of State for Labor Zakir Hussain has been admitted to the hospital. His condition is said to be critical.
There are two big news coming from West Bengal. Unknown attackers attacked Zakir Hussain, Minister of State for Labor, with crude bombs at Nimitta railway station in Murshidabad here. In this, about 7 people including the Minister of State are seriously injured. On the other hand, BJP leaders Suvendu Adhikari, Shankadeb Panda, Shivaji Sinha were stoned by some miscreants in Phool Bagan, Kolkata. In this, District President Shivaji Sinha of BJP North Kolkata has been seriously injured. Suvendu Adhikari and Shankadeb were also injured. Shivaji is hospitalized.
Attackers targeted after landing
Minister of State for Labor Zakir Hussain had reached Nimita station to board the train for Kolkata. As he got out of the car and moved towards the platform, unknown attackers attacked him with a bomb. A video of this has also surfaced. The MLA of Jungipur Assembly of Murshidabad and some other people running with him in this attack are also seriously injured. Police said that all were taken to Jangipur Superspeciality Hospital, from where Hussain was referred to Murshidabad Medical College and then to Kolkata.
Railway Minister, BJP leaders condemned
Several leaders, including Governor Jagdeep Dhankad, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, BJP’s West Bengal in-charge Kailash Vijayvargiya, have condemned the attack on the Minister of State for Labor. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also spoke to the officials on the phone and inquired about Zakir’s health.
