So far, about 98.5 lakh doses of corona vaccine have been given to healthcare and frontline workers under the world’s largest vaccination program. 3 lakh 17 thousand 190 doses of vaccine were given till 6 pm on the 34th day of vaccination. With this, the number of vaccination in the country has reached 98 lakh 46 thousand 523. On Friday, India will become the country to give 10 million doses of vaccine.

According to the Health Ministry, so far, there are 11 states and union territories where more than 75% of healthcare workers have been given the first dose of vaccine. These include Bihar, Tripura, Odisha, Lakshadweep, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. There are 7 states where less than 50% of healthcare workers were given the first dose. These include Ladakh, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh, Nagaland and Puducherry.

Second dose of vaccine given from 13 February
The vaccination program was started in the country from 16 January. It was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under this, the first dose of vaccine is being given to healthcare workers. At the same time, from 13 February, the first dose has been started from those who have been given the first dose. Vaccination of frontline workers has also started from 2 February.

32 deaths so far
According to the ministry, 32 deaths have also been reported since the corona vaccination. This is 0.0003% of the total vaccination. Of these, 13 have died in the hospital and 19 have died outside the hospital. However, none has been caused by vaccination.

Priority was decided only in December
The first decision was made by the government itself in December of who would get the Corona vaccine. 300 million people have been included in this list. There will be 27 crore people, who will be over 50 years of age or who are suffering from some kind of serious illness, with 1 crore healthworkers and 2 crore frontline workers.
