New Delhi: Two more cases of South African strains have been confirmed in India after which six people have been found infected so far. At the same time, there have been 187 cases of UK strains. At the same time, a Brazilian stra in has been confirmed in one person. NITI Aayog member Dr. VK Paul informed about this.
Earlier on February 16, it was informed by the government that South Africa strain has been confirmed in four people. That is, two more South African strains have emerged after that.
N 440 variants and E 484 variants in Maharashtra and Kerala
In a press conference organized by the Ministry of Health on Corona, Dr. VK Paul said that N 440 variants and E 484 variants have been found in Maharashtra and Kerala. “In Maharashtra and Kerala, SARS-COV-2 variants of N440, E484 have been found, but they are responsible for the increase in infection, there is no reason to believe this fact,” he said.
Health Ministry Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that in Kerala and Maharashtra there are still 75 percent active cases of corona. Kerala has about 38 percent of the country’s active cases. Maharashtra accounts for about 37 percent of the country’s active cases.
Rajesh Bhushan informed that till 1 pm today, 1 crore 17 lakh 54 thousand 788 people have been given the Corona vaccine. The first dose of vaccine was given to 68 percent of the health workers and 62 percent of the second dose was given to the vaccine. More than 41 percent of the scheduled frontline workers have been given the first dose.
