Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat met film star Mithun Chakraborty at his Mumbai home on Tuesday. Assembly elections are due in Bengal after a few months, so political speculation has intensified with this meeting. Mithun was made a Rajya Sabha MP by the Trinamool Congress in 2014. However, the actor later resigned in 2016 due to ill health.
According to media reports, Mithun Chakraborty visited Nagpur in October 2019. During this time he had met Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat and invited him to come home. During that time there was also speculation about Mithun coming to BJP.

Health deteriorated during shooting
Mithun is busy shooting his film and web series these days. His health in Mussoorie deteriorated during the shooting a few days ago, after which he had to be hospitalized. He was recently seen in the Hindi film ’12 O’ Clock, directed by Ram Gopal Varma, alongside Flora Saini, Manav Kaul, Makarand Deshpande and Krishna Gautam. Mithun will also be seen alongside Pallavi Joshi, Anupam Kher and Puneet Issar in Vivek Agnihotri’s writing and direction film The Kashmir Files.
