Actor-politician Kamal Haasan has started preparations to distribute his party Makkal Nidhi Mayyam (MNM) tickets. He said that online application for the ticket has to be given and can be applied from 21 February.
Kamal Haasan said that his party will contest elections in Tamil Nadu as well as Puducherry. He told that it is necessary to pay 25 thousand fees to the applicant for the ticket. Apart from the party, outsider can also apply for tickets.
MNM received 3.77% votes in 2019.
Last month, Kamal Haasan told that the Election Commission has allotted battery torch symbol to his party. MNM contested the same symbol in 2019. MNM secured 3.77% votes in this election. In some urban areas, the party’s vote share went even beyond 10%. MNM has given Kamal Haasan the right to make more decisions for the upcoming election strategy. Kamal Haasan is the permanent president of MNM.
Modi will start election campaign from 25 February
The BJP has also formed its own strategy for the Tamil Nadu elections. Here, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start the election campaign from 25 February. Modi is scheduled to address a public meeting, but the place has not been decided yet. However, on 14 February, Modi was visiting Tamil Nadu. He had handed over the Arjun Tank Army built here in the country. Rajnath Singh will also visit Tamil Nadu before Modi.
AIADMK has also sought online applications for assembly tickets. The party has kept the application fee of 15 thousand rupees. The party has also sought an online application for the Kerala and Puducherry elections. A fee of Rs 2 thousand has been kept for Kerala and Rs 5 thousand for Puducherry.
