Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who came to rally in Assam, was welcomed.
Prime Minister Narendr a Modi is visiting two states today. The Prime Minister first reached Silapathar in Dhemaji, Assam. Here he dedicated important projects of the oil-gas sector to the nation. After this, he will also inaugurate several railway projects at Hooghly in West Bengal at 4:30 pm. Modi’s third visit to these two states within a month. Assembly elections are due in these states this year.

The Prime Minister inaugurated Dhemaji Engineering College. Also laid the foundation stone of Sualkuchi Engineering College.

Will address public meeting in Hooghly
Prime Minister Modi will also address a public meeting in Hooghly. This is the second public rally of PM after Haldia. The rally is going to take place at the famous Dunlop Tire Factory Ground. During this time, the Prime Minister will flag off several railway schemes for West Bengal. The most prominent among these is the metro rail service from Baranagar station to Nawapada.
Why rally in Hooghly?
There are many reasons behind the Prime Minister’s rally in Hooghly. The biggest reason is that the BJP performed well in the last Lok Sabha election in Hooghly. BJP’s locket Chatterjee won from Hooghly in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. In such a situation, Modi’s public meeting has been kept here in an attempt to retain this victory.
