Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti released a video and accused him of being under house arrest. Mehbooba said that she was under house arrest as usual while trying to meet the family of Athar Mushtaq, who was killed in a fake encounter. Some people from the government came to my house and I was prevented from going out. When I asked him the reason, he kept silence.
Mehbooba said that once again an innocent Athar was killed. I wanted to meet her family, but before that, government officials reached my house and stopped me from going out. When Athar’s father demanded his son’s body, the administration filed a case against him under the Anti-Terrorism Act (UAPA).
Sharing a picture, Mehbooba said that there is a regime of repression in Kashmir, which the Indian government wants to hide from the rest of the country. A 16-year-old youth is killed and the family is denied the right and chance to perform the last rites.
