Maharashtra: School-colleges will remain closed till 7 March in Nagpur, main markets will not open Saturday-Sunday


Nagpur: The deadly corona virus outbreak has started growing again in Maharashtra. In view of the corona infection, the administration has issued new guidelines for Nagpur district. The administration has decided to close schools and colleges in the district till March 7. Not only this, weekly markets will also be closed till March 7.

Markets to open with 50 percent capacity in 5 days

According to the latest guidelines, the main markets in Nagpur will be closed on Saturday and Sunday. The remaining five days can open markets in 50 percent capacity. At the same time, the pavilions and social, political and religious programs booked for weddings have also been banned till March 7.

People are being given time till 25 February to decide on the programs and the administration has been ordered to inform people about the programs till 25th.


6,971 new cases were reported in Maharashtra yesterday.

Please tell that the cases of corona virus in Maharashtra are now increasing again. Weekly positivity rate in the state has increased from 4.7% to 8%. Concerns are the Mumbai suburban areas, where there has been an increase of 19% in weekly cases. Weekly cases in Nagpur, Amravati, Nashik, Akola and Yavatmal have increased by 33%, 47%, 23%, 55% and 48% respectively.

According to the Maharashtra Health Department, 6,971 new cases have been reported in the state in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 2,417 people were discharged and 35 people died.
