For the convenience of the passengers, the Railways has decided to run 35 local trains as unreserved mail / express special trains from 22 February. For the first time in the Corona era, unreserved trains are being run for passengers. This will allow passengers to travel by taking tickets from the railway station window. Prior to this, all the special trains run are fully reserved.

The railways stopped operating trains last year because of Corona, but now efforts are being made to start trains slowly. Currently only special special trains are running. At present, 704 local trains are running on the Western Railway route of Mumbai, through which about 3.95 lakh passengers are traveling. There are also 706 local trains running on the Central Railway route, due to which about 4.57 lakh passengers are traveling.
Tejas Express has started from February 15
Tejas Express has started once again between Lucknow-New Delhi and Ahmedabad-Mumbai from 15 February. In view of the convenience of passengers, IRCTC has also made arrangements to provide tickets for Tejas Express at the station itself. Tejas Express is the first private train in the country and is operated by IRCTC. The Railway Board closed the Tejas Express between New Delhi to Lucknow on 23 November 2020 and the Tejas Express between Mumbai and Ahmedabad on 24 November.
