On Tuesday (16, February) there is a drop in gold prices in the bullion market. Gold prices fell by Rs 9 to Rs 46,900 per 10 grams in the international market. Gold had closed at Rs 46,909 per 10 grams in previous trade. Meanwhile, silver gained Rs 95 to reach 69,530 per kg. Earlier, it had closed at Rs 69,435 per kg.
HDFC Securities Senior Analyst Tapan Patel said, “24-carat gold prices in Delhi declined marginally by Rs. 9”. In the international market, gold closed at USD 1,821 an ounce and silver at $ 27.60 an ounce.
Future gold and silver prices
Gold delivered in April at the Multi Commodity Exchange rose by Rs 132, or 0.28 per cent, to Rs 47,373 per 10 grams, with a turnover of 12,472 lots. Gold was trading 0.18% higher at $ 1,819.90 an ounce in New York.
Silver for the March delivery rose by Rs 92, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 70,221 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange, with a turnover of 13,034 lots. Silver was trading 1.20% higher at $ 27.66 an ounce in New York.
