If you use the audio chat app Clubhouse, then an alert needs to be kept. Researchers at Stanford University, USA have reported that it is passing your data over to the Chinese government. The Stanford Internet Observatory (SIO) has confirmed this. He explained that Agora, a Shanghai real-time engagement software provider company, supplies the clubhouse app as a back-end infrastructure.

Plan to create a separate data security firm
Clubhouse reported that it is making changes to encryption and pinging of its clients to Chinese servers. There are plans to legalize these changes and appoint a separate data security firm to review it. Launched in March 2020, this clubhouse app was well received worldwide. However, a few days ago there were reports of China banning it.

The clubhouse was launched in March 2020. The app had around 1,500 users in May 2020. Its value then was $ 100 million (about Rs 729 crore). As of February 2021, the clubhouse has over 2 million (2 million) users. At the same time, its value has been 1 billion dollars (about 7282 crores). That is, the value of the company has increased by about Rs 6553 crore during one year. Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev have a big hand in increasing users.


Process to use clubhouse app

  • After downloading the clubhouse, the user has to provide the name and mobile number. Changes can be made before the username is invited. Now you will get an SMS which will be an invite to your clubhouse. Now you can login on the app with the help of mobile number.
  • On the app, you can follow any club, person or particular topic. You can enter the room already created. You can hear what is going on there. You can follow friends or topics.
  • This app does not store any audio conversion. It offers live audio chatrooms. A user will be able to join the app only when he has received an invitation from another user.

Facebook is also making a product like a clubhouse
According to a New York Times report, Facebook is working on a new audio chat product these days. This is like an audio based social network clubhouse. The ClubHoud app is currently available only on the Apple Store. Facebook already has an Instagram for messaging app WhatsApp and photo sharing. This new step will further expand its new form of communication.
