Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has made a significant disclosure in the tweet case of celebrities on the peasant movement. He has said that the names of 12 IT influencers (tweeters) and heads of the BJP IT cell have appeared in the case. We are investigating the role of the BJP IT cell, whether the tweets were made under his influence or not. After recovering from Corona, Deshmukh was talking to media persons in Nagpur.
Deshmukh said, I never said to check the tweets of both (Lata and Sachin). My statement was twisted, I never said that the tweets of celebrities would be investigated. Lata Mangeshkar is God to us, the whole world respects Sachin Tendulkar. ‘
Indian celebrities had said – Ignore the tweet of foreigners
Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, American singer Rihanna and porn star Mia Khalifa tweeted in support of the farmer movement. These people accused the Indian government of not listening to them. In response, celebrities like Sachin Tendulkar, Lata Mangeshkar, Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty tweeted and appealed to people to ignore foreigners’ tweets and maintain India’s unity and integrity.
Maharashtra government is investigating the case
Mumbai Congress spokesperson Sachin Sawant had raised doubts over the language written in the tweets of Indian celebrities. He alleged that these tweets were done under pressure from BJP. Sawant had said that Akshay Kumar and Saina Nehwal’s tweets were similar. Based on this allegation, the Maharashtra government ordered an inquiry.
What did Home Minister Deshmukh say earlier?
In this case, Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had said, ‘Did the tweets of celebrities come under any pressure? Our intelligence agencies will look into this matter. How Akshay Kumar and Saina Nehwal’s tweets were alike will be seen. Sunil Shetty’s tweet tagging BJP leader is also in front of us and now the matter will be investigated.
