Police has registered a case against former cricketer Yuvraj Singh in Hansi, Haryana. This case has been registered against them on the internet media for their comments against the Scheduled Castes. The case is 8 months old. The police is investigating the matter. However, earlier the complainants have also filed a petition in the court against the police not taking action in the case.

Yuvraj Singh is alleged to have made objectionable remarks on Yuzvendra Chahal in a live chat with Rohit Sharma last year. In this case, Rajat Kalsan, convenor of National Alliance and Dalit Human Rights, had given a complaint to Hansi Superintendent of Police. Rajat Kalsan, convenor of the National Alliance and Dalit Human Rights, said the police took more than eight months to file a case against cricketer Yuvraj Singh. Complainant Rajat Kalsan said that he had given a complaint against Yuvraj Singh to the police on June 2 last year. The police did not register a lawsuit.

Kalsan complained to the Home Minister against the police and took the matter to court. Later, the convenor and complainant Rajat Kalsan of the National Alliance and Dalit Human Rights filed a petition in the court on 11 January alleging that on 2 June 2020, he had lodged a complaint against Yuvraj Singh to Hansi police.

After filing a case, Yuvraj Singh was demanded to be arrested, but Hansi police did not register any case and started preliminary investigation without registering a case. According to Kalsan, the National Commission for Scheduled Castes had also ordered the Hansi Superintendent of Police to register a case. Even after this, when the case was not filed, he filed a complaint before the Home Minister. He said that due to not taking proper action from there, he had to file a petition in the court.

Yuvraj Singh had demanded social media apology Yuvraj Singh used caste words against Yuzvendra Chahal. When the matter escalated, he also apologized on social media. In which Yuvraj Singh said that – ‘I want to make it clear that I do not believe in any discrimination on the basis of color, caste, creed. I have lived my life for the betterment of people and want to live like this even further. I respect every person. I was talking to my friends and at that time my point was taken incorrectly, which was inappropriate. ‘ Yuvraj had said, ‘As a responsible Indian, I want to say that I am sorry if inadvertently someone is hurt by my words.’
