The second match of the 4-Test series between India and England is being played at Chepak Stadium, Chennai. 3 changes were made in the Indian team. Akshar Patel in place of Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav in place of Shahbaz Ahmed and Mohammad Siraj in place of Jaspreet Bumrah. Indian legend Sunil Gavaskar has said that the decision to give rest to Bumrah is beyond his comprehension. He said that there was a 7-day rest after this test.
Variety near Kuldeep, good dec ision to feed them
Gavaskar said, in terms of workload, there is a lot of time in the next test. They should have been fed in this test. Bumrah is India’s number-1 bowler and this test is a must for India to win. He said that Kuldeep and Akshar were expected to be included in the team. Kuldeep has a lot of variety and this will benefit the team. Gavaskar said that in the second Test, Indian batsmen will have to play with patience.
Shahbaz and Sundar could not do much in the first test
Akshar Patel did not play in the first Test due to injury. At the same time, Kuldeep has returned to the team after 2 years. Despite being included in India’s squad, he could not get a chance in the playing-11. Shahbaz and Sundar could not bowl anything special in the first Test. However, Sundar had done wonders with the bat and scored an unbeaten 85 in the first innings.
