There is good buying on the stock market on Tuesday. The BSE Sensex is trading up 258 points at 50,002.64 and the Nifty is up 65 points at 14,740.70. The metal sector shares are at the forefront of market growth. Hindustan Copper stock is trading up 6%.
On Sensex, ONGC shares are trading up 6%. The stock gained in the midst of heavy selling yesterday. The exchange is traded on 2,048 shares, of which 1,452 are in shares. The total market cap of the listed companies has increased to Rs 201.41 lakh crore. On Monday, it stood at Rs 200.26 lakh crore.
Heavy selling in stock market on Monday
The BSE Sensex was down 1,145 points at 49,744.32 and the Nifty was down 306 points at 14,675.70 yesterday. According to NSE provisional data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 893.25 crore and domestic institutional investors (DIIs) sold shares worth Rs 919.88 crore.
Japan, Hong Kong stock markets boom
Global market also fluctuates on Tuesday. Japan’s Nikkei index is trading 138 points up at 30,156. Hong Kong’s Hangseng is also up 309 points at 30,629. Similarly, China’s Shanghai Composite and Australia’s All Ordinaries Index are also trading up. Earlier European markets closed with a slight decline on Monday, while the US Nasdaq index was down 2.46% to close at 13,533.

09:24 AM The BSE Sensex is trading up 295 points at 50,039. ONGC stock has the largest gain of 4%. Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance and Reliance Industries also gained 1-1%. On the other hand Asian Paints stock is trading down 2%.
