- The pace of vaccination in the country slows even after a month, the government claimed that more than 10 lakh vaccines will be installed every day, only 2.6 lakhs per day
- Only 20-25 people are coming to the vaccine centers in Delhi-Chandigarh, the center admitted – capacity must be increased
A total of 8 million people in the country have received the first dose of the Corona vaccine. There are 1 million frontline workers among them. The central government has targeted to vaccinate 3 crore people (health-frontline workers) by mid-March, which has not even completed a third. There are some states including Delhi, Chandigarh, where there are reports of only 20-25 people arriving at the vaccine centers throughout the day. Hundreds of vaccination centers are currently closed in many states. Because, most of the centers have been merged.
It is being said that when the common people start getting vaccinations, these centers will be started again. All vaccination facilities are available at these centers. On the other hand, the central government is saying that 27 crore people above 50 years of age will start getting vaccinated from mid-March. In such a situation, the question arises that why are these people being made to wait for a month?
More than 10 crore vaccine doses are ready in the country right now. 8 crore doses are being made every month. Now there is neither a shortage of vaccines, nor have there been any defects in the supply and storage chains anywhere in a month and vaccine centers are also ready. Therefore, the central and state governments can call the common people to get the vaccine at the centers in February itself.
State also prepared MP Health Minister said – We had prepared last year
Madhya Pradesh Health Minister Prabhuram Chaudhary said- ‘If the central government tells us that even people above 50 years of age should start vaccinating, then we are fully prepared. We have a staff of 48 thousand health workers. We even started vaccine preparations in May last year.

ICMR Chairman Dr. Narendra Arora questions and answers
Question:Why has vaccination not accelerated?
Answer: Preparations for the Cowin app
Question:There was a claim of 10 lakh vaccines daily, but even after a month, the daily figure did not reach 4 lakhs, why?
Answer: It is true that if vaccination does not progress gradually, there will be a lot of problem. Therefore, we are repairing the system. We started with 3 thousand vaccine centers, now there are 10 thousand centers. However, it is also true that vaccines are 35-40% less than the capacity.
Question: Then why can’t even 50 crore people above 50 years of age start getting vaccinated?
Answer: There are some preparations for the Cowin app dashboard yet. This is also a major reason for the delay.
Question: When will the vaccination campaign gain momentum?
Answer: We are preparing to apply 70 to 8 million vaccines daily. Only then will the target of vaccinating 300 million people by July be met. For this, 50 thousand vaccine centers will be built in the coming time. The plan has been sent to the states.
Question: According to this, we will need 80 lakh doses daily, is it possible?
Answer:Yes, it is possible. We have more vaccines. Currently two companies are making vaccines. A further five companies will be formed. 250 million vaccines will be manufactured in the country next year.
