New Delhi: For the first time in the country, four people have been found to be infected with the South African form of SARS-COV-2 virus. At the same time, a person has been confirmed to be infected with the Brazilian form of the virus. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has targeted the Center for the arrival of new strains of Corona from South Africa and Brazil to India.

Sharing a news on Twitter, Rahul Gandhi said, “Corona is not over yet. The government is a victim of gross negligence and over-confidence.”

South African corona strain spread over 44 countries
ICMR Director General Balaram Bhargava said that all the passengers returned from outside India and those who came in contact with them have been examined and kept in isolation. ‘ICMR-NIV’ is trying to separate the South African form from the samples of these four infected people and collect other information.

A person who returned from Brazil in the first week of February has been confirmed to be infected with the Brazilian form of the virus. Bhargava, referring to both forms of the virus, said that the South African form was first detected in mid-December. This form has spread to 44 countries. The Brazilian form of the virus was detected in January and it has spread to 15 countries so far.

Number of people infected with British nature 187
Meanwhile, the number of people infected with the corona virus in the country has increased to 187. But no one has died. He emphasized that new formats are being closely monitored.

Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that RT-PCR test has been made mandatory for travelers coming from Britain. Genome sequencing of infected people is being done. This is a good strategy.
