Sources gave this information on Wednesday. A day before this, the work of transporting the vaccine to different parts of the country started. The first batch of the Kovid-19 anti-vaccine vaccine ‘Kovyshield’ from Oxford / Astragenka was released on Tuesday morning from the manufacturing unit of Serum Institute of India, Pune. This vaccine has been manufactured at Serum Institute of India.
The plane had left Pune for 13 cities with a consignment of vaccine. Sources involved in the transport system said, “Out of the total purchase orders (1.1 crore doses), 95 percent doses have been supplied so far. The supply of more than one lakh doses will be made soon.” SB Logistics MD Sandeep Bhosle said that on Wednesday, the plane left for Agra, Meerut, Bareilly, Puducherry, Port Blair and Leh with a consignment of vaccine. Vaccination campaign against Corona virus in India is going to start from January 16.
Bharat Biotech sends corona vaccine by air to 11 cities
Bharat Biotech, a pharmaceutical company that developed the indigenous corona vaccine, said on Wednesday that it has successfully shipped ‘covacine’ to 11 cities in the country. The company said that it has donated 16.5 lakh doses of covaxine to the government. Bharat Biotech said in a statement, “After getting the government order of 55 lakh doses, the company has sent the first shipment. There are 20 doses in each vial. ”
The company said that the vaccine consignment has been sent to Ganavaram, Guwahati, Patna, Delhi, Kurukshetra, Bengaluru, Pune, Bhubaneswar, Jaipur, Chennai and Lucknow. On Wednesday, Bharat Biotech also entered into an agreement with Brazilian company Preciosa Medicamentos to supply the corona vaccine.
