National Rail and Transportation Institute of Indian Railways, Vadodara has recently launched 7 new academic programs. These include two BTech UG programs, two MBA programs and three MSc programs. According to the Railway Ministry, it is application oriented with all courses being interdisciplinary. This course is not offered in any other institute in this country, so it is unique in its content. BBA in Transportation Management
This 3-year course focuses on management practices in the transportation sector. The course focuses on project management, supply chain management, urban planning and financial models of transportation. Apart from this, BSC in transportation technology can also be done here. The 3-year course will focus on the technology and use of this field. It will feature subjects such as 21st century transportation technology, urban traffic management and control, hybrid electric vehicle theory and design.
MBA in Supply Chain Management
This course will strengthen integration design, coordination and managerial skills for coordination at various levels of the supply chain. This course is of 2 years. PG also has MSc in Railway Systems Engineering and Integration course. It is a 2-year international degree program. In the second year of the program, students will get an opportunity to study at the University of Birmingham, UK.
B.Tech in Real Systems and Communication Engineering
This course will focus on subjects such as Computer Networking and Management, Passenger Information Systems, Railway Control Systems Engine., Mobile Communication, Big Data and Data Analysis, AI and Machine Learning. The duration of these courses will be 4 years.
MSc in Transport Technology and Policy
This masters program of 2 years covers subjects such as transportation finance, urban planning model, policy in transport planning, multimodal transportation along with challenges faced in the integration of transport technology.
