The number of mobile subscribers was expected to be compensated during July and August but this has not been done. However, the number of mobile subscribers has increased in rural areas. According to the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), the number of mobile subscribers in India in the quarter of March 2020 was 115.7 million. There was a lockdown in India after March. When the figures for April-June 2020 i.e. the second quarter of this year came out, there was a decrease of 17 million in total mobile subscribers. According to the report, millions of mobile subscribers have also fallen due to a decrease in income during the lockdown.
