Sudarshan Ratan, the producer and director of films like Madhuri Dixit and Shekhar Suman starrer ‘Manav Murders’ (1986), has passed away. According to reports, he was battling Kovid-19 and breathed his last on Thursday. Shekhar Kapur informed Ratan’s demise in his tweet on Friday night.
Lost one of my dearest friends Sudarshan Rattan to Corona.He directed me in my second film with Madhuri Dixit.He fell on bad days was poor but a very honest man.We kept in touch.He wd call up and often be home.Will miss u my https://t.co/c8BFaZT2wh in peace.

Suman wrote in the tweet, “I lost one of my friends Sudarshan Ratan because of Corona. He directed my second film with Madhuri Dixit. They lost through bad days. Poor, but honest. We We were in touch. We used to call each other and often meet at home. You will be missed dear friend. May God rest in peace. “
Wrote the story of ‘Hahakaar’
Sudarshan Ratan wrote the story of the film ‘Hahakaar’ released in 1996. He was also its director and producer. Sudhir Pandey, Shafi Honest, Neelima Azim and Johnny Lever played key roles in the film.
