Last week, Karan Johar released the trailer of his web reality show ‘The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’, which will be streaming on the OTT platform Netflix. Now filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has accused him and Apoorva Mehta, CEO of his company Dharma Productions, that he has grabbed the title of his film for his web show.
Madhur Bhandarkar wrote in his latest tweet, “Dear Karan Johar! You and Apoorva Mehta demanded me the title of ‘Bollywood Wives’ which I refused. Because work on my project is going on. It is ethical and theoretical. It is wrong that you have used it by doing ‘The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. Please do not ruin my project. I humbly appeal to you to change the title. “
Complaint of Dharma in IMPPA
Along with expressing his pain on social media, Madhur Bhandarkar has also filed a complaint against Dharma Productions in the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPPA).
IMPPA says that they have not released the title to Karan Johar for their web show. According to the reports, the association has asked Dharma Productions and Netflix to change the title by writing a letter in this context.
No reaction has come to light from either Karan Johar or Apoorva Mehta. Talking about their web show, it will tell about the famous wives of Bollywood, how they live their lives.
