Along with this, the death toll of Kovid patients has also increased in the state. The number of active cases increased to 23,357 on Thursday. At the same time, 7500 people have lost their lives.
2,858 new cases were reported in the state and 20 people died. At the same time, 2,200 people recovered and got discharged. With new cases, the total number of infected in the state increased to 4,91,131.

At the same time, the lack of social distancing has been cited as a big reason behind the increasing cases in Lucknow. Meerut leads the fast list of cases. The number of cases of coronavirus in Meerut has increased by 126 percent in the last 15 days.
