20 more patients died due to Kovid-19 in Uttar Pradesh, 2,858 new cases of infection were reported


Lucknow: Cases of Kovid-19 have started increasing in Uttar Pradesh. The districts where cases are increasing rapidly include Meerut, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Kanpur, Gautam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad. Along with this, the death toll of Kovid patients has also increased in the state. The number of active cases increased to 23,357 on Thursday. At the same time, 7500 people have lost their lives.

2,858 new cases were reported in the state and 20 people died. At the same time, 2,200 people recovered and got discharged. With new cases, the total number of infected in the state increased to 4,91,131.

Additional Chief Secretary of Health and Family Welfare Amit Mohan Prasad said that the state government has adopted a multi-pronged strategy to check the second wave of Kovid-19 in the state. In addition to collecting samples for this, contact tracing is being done to increase testing, monitor statewide and break the chain of infection.

At the same time, the lack of social distancing has been cited as a big reason behind the increasing cases in Lucknow. Dr. Abhishek Shukla, general secretary of the Association of International Doctors, said, “People have stopped following the Kovid-19 protocol. Social distancing is rarely followed in the markets.”

Meerut leads the fast list of cases. The number of cases of coronavirus in Meerut has increased by 126 percent in the last 15 days. Dr. Ved Prakash, Head of the Department in Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine Wing at King George Medical University, said, “Meerut is a city where a large number of outsiders come and go, especially from Delhi.
